Heavy trucks

An essential part of the engine, the air filter removes dust and other impurities from the air before they reach the vehicle’s intake system. In other words, it maintains good air quality, which is essential for fuel combustion. By blocking these contaminants, it also protects the piston rings, pistons, cylinder liners, and turbocharger from premature wear and extends the life of your engine.

💡 The more powerful an engine, the more air it needs. For example, a truck will consume 2,600,000 m³ of air in a year!
However, the greater the amount of air consumed, the higher the risk of contamination, making the engine air filter even more vital.  This product helps maintain engine system performance and protects its components. That’s why at HIFI FILTER®, we pay special attention to the manufacturing of our air filters.

What are the different types of air filters?

Dry air filters are the most common type . Housed in a housing, they come in cartridge or panel shapes. Depending on your vehicle model, this housing may contain additional protection: if the main filter fails, a backup filter will temporarily trap the dust. This protects engine parts until the air filter can be replaced quickly.

Specifically, how does an air filter work? It’s simple: contaminated air passes through a pleated cellulose filter. This traps the particles, and the purified air then reaches the intake system. Each HIFI FILTER® model is tailored to your vehicle and offers a specific filtration level. For more information about a product, please consult
